Traffic Camera Repair to Close Castor Avenue Ramp to Interstate 95 North Early Saturday Morning in Northeast Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that traffic camera repair will close the ramp from Castor Avenue to northbound I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia early Saturday morning, June 6.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

  • Saturday, June 6, from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the ramp from Castor Avenue to northbound I-95 will be closed and detoured. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Castor Street and turn left onto Richmond Street to access the ramp to northbound I-95 at the Girard Avenue Interchange.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area or along the detour route because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The traffic camera repair is being done as part of PennDOT’s I-95 Section GR8 project to install and update ITS equipment across regional highways.
