Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that roadway construction will occur on southbound Interstate 95 in Philadelphia under a $56.1 million project to perform high-priority repairs on interstate bridges, to maintain the functionality, safety, and mobility of the structures along critical corridors.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, April 6, through Friday, April 10, a single lane closure will be in place from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM, followed by a double lane closure from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM on southbound I-95 between Christian Street and Packer Avenue.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because significant backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
