King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that road construction will occur on several state highways in Chester and Montgomery counties under a project to install lane departure improvements to reduce lane departure-related fatal and serious injury crashes across the five-county Philadelphia region.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Chester County:
- Wednesday, March 25, through Tuesday, March 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday periodic lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Paoli Pike between Powell Lane and Green Avenue in West Goshen Township.
Montgomery County:
- Wednesday, March 25, through Tuesday, March 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday periodic lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Croton Road between Sentry Lane and Gulph Road in Upper Merion Township.
- Wednesday, March 25, through Tuesday, March 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday periodic lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Stenton Avenue between Militia Hill Road and Knox Road in Whitemarsh Township.
- Wednesday, March 25, through Tuesday, March 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday periodic lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Fitzwatertown Road between Burn Brae Drive and Thunderhead Road in Abington and Upper Dublin townships.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Road-Con, Inc. of West Chester, PA, is the general contractor on this $3.5 million project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
