King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations are planned next week on more than 15 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, under several ongoing contracts to repair, resurface, and improve more than 240 miles of state highways across the five-county region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Bucks County
- Monday, April 27, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Bath Road/Bristol Oxford Valley Road between U.S. 13 and Business U.S. 1 Lincoln Highway in Bristol and Middletown townships for paving.
- Monday, April 27, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Comly Avenue/Highland Avenue between Route 413 (Bellevue Avenue) and U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) in Langhorne Manor Borough and Middletown Township for milling, paving, and utility adjustments.
Chester County
- Wednesday, April 29, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Phoenixville Pike between King Road and U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) in West Whiteland and East Whiteland townships for milling, paving, and utility adjustments.
- Wednesday, April 29, through Wednesday, May 6, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place Sunday through Thursday on Route 10 (Limestone Road) between Street Road and Kri-Del Lane in Lower Oxford and Upper Oxford townships for high friction surface treatment.
- Thursday, April 30, through Thursday, May 7, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place Sunday through Thursday on Route 82 (Manor Road) between Lammey Road and Grubb Drive in West Nantmeal Township for high friction surface treatment.
- Sunday, May 3, through Sunday, May 10, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place Sunday through Thursday on Route 401 (Conestoga Road) between Moores Road and Finney Road in East Nantmeal Township for high friction surface treatment.
- Monday, May 4, through Monday, May 11, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place Sunday through Thursday on Route 282 (Creek Road) between Nichols Mill Road and Hopewell Road in East Brandywine Township for high friction surface treatment.
- Tuesday, May 5, through Tuesday, May 12, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place Sunday through Thursday on Buck Run Road/Youngsburg Road between Cranston Drive and Branford Boulevard in East Fallowfield Township for high friction surface treatment.
- Wednesday, May 6, through Wednesday, May 13, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place Sunday through Thursday on Route 82 (Doe Run Road) between Newark Road and Apple Grove Road in West Marlborough Township for high friction surface treatment.
- Thursday, May 7, through Thursday, May 21, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place Sunday through Thursday on Route 52 (Lenape Road) between Rosedale Avenue and Forest Road in East Bradford Township for high friction surface treatment.
Delaware County
- Tuesday, May 12, through Tuesday, May 26, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place Sunday through Thursday on Springfield Road between Britton Road and Highland Road in Springfield Township for high friction surface treatment.
- Wednesday, May 13, through Wednesday, May 27, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place Sunday through Thursday on Lenni Road between Lungren Road and New Road in Middletown and Aston townships for high friction surface treatment.
Montgomery County
- Thursday, April 23, through Friday, May 1, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays on Route 463 (Horsham Road) between Tournament Drive and Route 611 (Easton Road) in Horsham Township for paving.
- Thursday, April 23, through Friday, May 1, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays on Business U.S. 202 (Doylestown Road) between Route 463 (Horsham Road) and County Line Road in Montgomery Township for milling and utility adjustments.
- Sunday, April 26, through Thursday, April 30, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Route 23 (Valley Forge Park Road) between the Chester County line and North Gulph Road in Upper Merion Township for paving.
Philadelphia County
- Monday, April 27, through Friday, May 1, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on sections of Rhawn Street between Oxford Avenue and State Road for paving prep work and milling operations.
- Wednesday, April 29, through Friday, May 1, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a weekday lane closure will be in place on Holme Avenue between Roosevelt Boulevard and Academy Road for milling.
- Thursday, April 30, through Friday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure will be in place on Holme Avenue between Roosevelt Boulevard and Academy Road for prep work.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
