King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations are planned next week on more than 10 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, under several ongoing contracts to repair, resurface, and improve more than 240 miles of state highways across the five-county region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Bucks County
- Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Bristol Oxford Road between U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) and Business U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) in Bristol and Middletown townships for milling, paving, and utility adjustments.
- Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 17, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Penn Valley Road between New Falls Road and Fallsington-Tullytown Road in Falls Township for milling and paving.
Chester County
- Monday, April 13, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Kaolin Road/Limestone Road between School House Lane and the Delaware State border in Kennett and New Garden townships for paving.
- Tuesday, April 14, through Friday, April 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays at the U.S. 202 and Route 926 (Street Road) Intersection in Westtown Township for drainage, signage, milling, and paving.
Delaware County
- Sunday, April 12, through Monday, April 20, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a traffic shift will be in place Sundays through Thursdays on the ramps from U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) to U.S. 1 (Media Bypass) in Middletown Township for milling and paving.
- Monday, April 13, through Monday, April 20, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place Sunday through Thursday on Glen Riddle Road between Brandywine Drive and Springhouse Lane in Middletown Township for milling and paving.
- Monday, April 13, through Monday, April 27, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a traffic shift will be in place Sundays through Thursdays on the southbound I-95 ramp to Highland Avenue in the City of Chester for milling and paving.
Montgomery County
- Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 24, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place weekdays on Route 463 (Horsham Road) between Tournament Drive and Route 611 (Easton Road) in Horsham Township for milling and paving.
- Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Fort Washington Avenue between Susquehanna Road and Meetinghouse Road in Upper Dublin Township for inlet replacement.
- Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 24, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Route 463 (Horsham Road) between Tournament Drive and Route 611 (Easton Road) in Horsham Township for milling and paving.
- Thursday, April 16, and Friday, April 17, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Harriton Road/Morris Avenue between Millbank Road and Spring Mill Road in Lower Merion Township for milling.
Philadelphia County
- Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 17, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure will be in place on Broad Street (Route 611) between Oregon Avenue and the Navy Yard for paving.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
