    Resurfacing Operations Continue Through July on U.S. 422 in Montgomery, Chester Counties

    King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations will continue through July on U.S. 422 in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, and North Coventry Township, Chester County.

    Drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:

    • Friday, July 10, from 1:00 PM to 12:00 AM Midnight, a lane closure will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Route 100 and Armand Hammer interchanges for milling and paving.
    • Monday, July 13, through Friday, July 17, from 6:00 PM to 12:00 PM Noon the following day, a lane closure will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between the Armand Hammer and Route 100 interchanges for milling and paving.
    • Monday, July 13, through Thursday, July 16, from 6:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between the Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) and Hanover Street interchanges for paving.
    • Monday, July 20, through Wednesday, July 22, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a right lane closure and intermittent ramp closures will occur on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Route 100 and Armand Hammer interchanges for milling and paving of the ramps.
    • Wednesday, July 22, through Friday, July 24, from 6:00 PM to 12:00 PM the following day, a lane closure and intermittent ramp closures will occur on westbound U.S. 422 between the Armand Hammer and Route 100 interchanges for milling and paving.

    Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

    The milling and paving work between the Route 100 and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges has been added to PennDOT’s $83.6 million project to reconstruct and improve approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township.
