Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Philadelphia Water Department will be performing sewer improvements on Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, beginning Tuesday, February 17.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Tuesday, February 17, through Tuesday, February 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Frankford Avenue will be closed and detoured weekdays between Montgomery Avenue and Palmer Street. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Palmer Street, Front Street, Norris Street, and Memphis Street.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
