Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today bridge inspections are scheduled on Interstate 95 and Interstate 676 in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, January 19, and Tuesday, January 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Enterprise Avenue and Broad Street (Route 611) interchanges.
- Thursday, January 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on westbound I-676 at the I-76 and 22nd Street interchange.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The inspections are part of PennDOT’s program to inspect bridges at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
