King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Aqua Pennsylvania will perform utility construction on Route 926 (Street Road) in Westtown and Thornbury townships, Chester County, beginning on Monday, April 6.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, April 6, through Friday, May 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 926 (Street Road) will be closed and detoured weekdays between Concord Road and Northgate Road. During the closure, passenger vehicles will be directed to use Concord Road, Oakbourne Road, and Shiloh Road. Trucks will be directed to use U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike), Route 3 (West Chester Pike), and Route 352 (Chester Road).
Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Aqua Pennsylvania will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
