King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Upper Darby School District will perform stormwater installation, paving, signalization, and streetscape work on a section of Springfield Road in Clifton Heights Borough, Delaware County, beginning Monday, December 1.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, December 1, through Monday, March 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Springfield Road will be closed weekdays between Fairview Avenue and Oak Avenue. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Springfield Avenue, Baltimore Pike, and Oak Avenue.
Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Upper Darby School District will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
