PennDOT Announces Virtual and In-Person Public Meetings for U.S. 30 Bypass Reconstruction Project in Chester County

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to attend a live virtual public meeting on Thursday, January 15, and an in-person open house plans display on Tuesday, January 20, for the U.S. 30 Eastern Project Area (Section CER). The project team will present the selected alternatives for U.S. 30 mainline and the Reeceville Road, Route 340, and U.S. 322 interchanges, and the revised alternatives for the Norwood Road and Route 113 interchanges.

This project is one of a series of projects that will upgrade a 14.5-mile section of the U.S. 30 (Coatesville-Downingtown Bypass) corridor to improve safety, reduce congestion, accommodate planned growth, and improve system connectivity.

Pre-registration is not required for these events. During the virtual event, attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a Question-and-Answer segment at the end of the meeting. Following the virtual public meeting, a recording of the session will also be available on the project website at www.us30-chesco.com. During the open house plans display event, attendees will have an opportunity to speak with project team members and complete paper comment forms.

All members of the public can review the project information through the project website at www.us30-chesco.com, and complete an electronic comment form from January 15, 2026, through February 6, 2026.

The purpose of the live virtual public meeting, in-person open house plans display, and project webpage is to provide updated project information and receive public input regarding any questions or concerns with the project. It is also an opportunity for the public to review and comment on the project’s potential effect upon Cultural Resources pursuant to the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation’s 36 CFR Part 800 regulations implementing Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.

The in-person open house plans display is being held in a facility that complies with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and it is accessible to individuals who have disabilities.
