Philadelphia, PA - Philadelphia is under a project to install lane departure improvements to reduce lane departure-related fatal and serious injury crashes across the five-county Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, December 15, through Tuesday, December 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Columbus Boulevard in both directions at the intersection with the northbound I-95 Columbus Boulevard/Washington Avenue (Exit 20) ramp.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Road-Con, Inc. of West Chester, PA, is the general contractor on this $3.5 million project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
