King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing and pavement repair operations will occur next week on several state highways in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, and Delaware counties under multiple ongoing projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway across the five-county region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Philadelphia
- Monday, November 17, through Friday, November 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure will be in place on sections of Chestnut Street between 22nd Street and Broad Street (Route 611) for line painting.
- Monday, November 17, through Friday, November 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure will be in place on sections of Walnut Street between Broad Street (Route 611) and 23rd Street for line painting.
- Monday, November 17, through Friday, November 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure will be in place on sections of Oregon Avenue between Delaware Avenue and 15th Street for line painting.
- Monday, November 17, through Friday, November 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure will be in place on Penn Square (City Hall) between Market Street and Broad Street (Route 611) for line painting.
Bucks County
- Monday, November 17, through Friday, November 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections of U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) between Poquessing Creek and Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) in Bensalem Township for pavement repair.
- Monday, November 17, through Friday, November 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections of Knights Road between Route 132 (Street Road) and Poquessing Creek in Bensalem township for pavement repair.
Chester County
- Monday, November 17, through Wednesday, November 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Hanover Street at Krepps Lane in North Coventry Township for paving.
Delaware County
- Thursday, November 20, and Friday, November 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections of Township Line Road between Route 452 (Market Street) and Bethel Road in Trainer Borough, City of Chester, and Upper Chichester Township for paving.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
