PennDOT to Host Virtual Public Meeting for Newark Road and Baltimore Pike Intersection Improvement Project in New Garden Township

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to attend a live virtual meeting on Thursday, December 4, for the upcoming project to improve travel and safety through the Newark Road and Baltimore Pike Intersection in the Village of Toughkenamon in New Garden Township, Chester County. 

The proposed improvements include realigning the intersection of Newark Road and Baltimore Pike; improving turning areas on all four corners of the intersection; widening sections of Newark Road and Baltimore Pike to include new right-turn, left-turn, and through lanes; installing pedestrian facilities such as ADA curb ramps and sidewalks; and adding a traffic signal, streetlights, and a new stormwater management and conveyance system.

As part of PennDOT's project outreach, the department encourages the public to attend the live online meeting on Thursday, December 4, beginning at 7:00 PM, by clicking on this Microsoft Live Teams meeting link prior to the presentation start time. The department’s design team will deliver a project presentation before opening the meeting to questions using the platform’s Q&A feature.
