Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PGW Energy will be performing utility construction on Dauphin Street in Philadelphia beginning Friday, November 7.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Friday, November 7, through Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Dauphin Street will be closed and detoured weekdays between 3rd Street and Orianna Street. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use 3rd Street and York Street.
Local access will be maintained. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
