PennDOT Reopens Pleasant View Road, Completes Bridge Replacement Project Ahead of Schedule in Lower Pottsgrove Township

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction has been completed six weeks ahead of schedule on the $2.4 million project to replace the bridge that carries Pleasant View Road over Sanatoga Creek in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.

The bridge had been closed since May 19, 2025, to allow PennDOT’s contractor to replace the existing 50-foot-long, 94-year-old structure with a new, 58.5-foot-long, slightly wider bridge.

In addition, this project slightly shifted the bridge to the southern (upstream) side of the structure. This minor shift improves the angle of the intersection with Linfield Road as well as improves the curve radius just north of the structure for safety purposes.

The purpose of the project was to construct a bridge that is structurally sound, capable of efficiently and safely handling the existing and expected traffic and has the hydraulic capacity to adequately convey the flow of Sanatoga Creek.

H&K Group, Inc. of Skippack, Pennsylvania, is the general contractor on the project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
