Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that overhead bridge construction will close a section of Bridge Street in Northeast Philadelphia early Tuesday morning, October 14.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

During the closure, westbound Bridge Street motorists will be directed to turn left onto Tacony Street and turn right onto Aramingo Avenue to access Bridge Street.  Eastbound Bridge Street motorists will be directed to turn right onto Aramingo Avenue, turn left onto Orthodox Street, turn left onto Pearce Street, turn left onto Lefevere Street, and turn right onto Tacony Street to access Bridge Street.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
