King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that CSX will close four state highways for track maintenance in Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Sunday, October 19, through Saturday, October 25, Route 73 (Skippack Pike) will be closed and detoured 24/7 between North Wales Road and Mara Drive in North Wales Borough. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike), Morris Road, and Bethel Road.
- Monday, October 20, through Thursday, October 23, Main Street will be closed and detoured 24/7 between First Avenue and Second Avenue in Royersford Borough. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Main Street, Bridge Street, Route 724 (Schuylkill Road), Linfield Road, and Lewis Road.
- Sunday, October 26, through Saturday, November 1, Township Line Road will be closed and detoured 24/7 between North Wales Road and Erbs Mill Road in Norristown. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Township Line Road, Whitehall Road, Route 73 (Skippack Pike), and U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike).
- Sunday, November 2, through Saturday, November 8, Germantown Pike will be closed and detoured 24/7 between North Wales Road and Swede Road in Norristown. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use North Wales Road, Township Line Road, Swede Road.
Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
