Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that CSX will perform bridge repair at night on I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Friday, October 10, through Friday, October 24, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a weeknight right lane closure is scheduled on a section of westbound I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) between the 34th Street on-ramp and University Avenue on-ramp. During this operation, the ramp from University Avenue to westbound I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) will be closed and detoured. Drivers will be directed to use Market Street and Schuylkill Avenue to access the ramp to westbound I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway).
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near or through the work areas because significant backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
