    Construction Planned at Night Next Week on Interstate 95 in Northeast Philadelphia

    Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities will occur at night next week on northbound and southbound I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia under the $355.3 million I-95 Section BR3 project to widen and reconstruct northbound I-95 between Wheatsheaf Lane to just north of Margaret Street.

    Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

    Motorists are reminded that the ramp from Aramingo Avenue at the Bridge Street Interchange to I-95 South remains closed through mid-December for ramp construction.

    Drivers will be directed to exit to Aramingo Avenue at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange, turn right onto Aramingo Avenue, turn right onto Adams Avenue, and turn right onto the ramp to I-95 South.

    Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near or through the work areas because significant backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
