Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that bridge repair operations will occur on I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) under a $41.3 million project to resurface and repair nearly five miles of the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps, and more than 20 bridges in the City of Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, November 3, through Friday, November 14, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a weeknight lane closure will be in place on I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) in both directions between Walnut Street and the Grays Ferry/University Avenue Exit (346B).
- From 8:00 PM Friday, November 7, to 5:00 AM Monday, November 10, a lane closure will be in place on westbound I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) between the U.S. 1 North (Roosevelt Boulevard) and Lincoln Drive/Kelly Drive interchanges.
