    Bridge Repair, Barrier Installation Scheduled at Night Next Week on Interstate 95 South in Northeast Philadelphia

    Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that bridge deck repair and barrier installation will occur at night next week on southbound I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia under the $355.3 million I-95 Section BR3 project to widen and reconstruct northbound I-95 between Wheatsheaf Lane to just north of Margaret Street.

    Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

    Motorists are also reminded that the ramp from Aramingo Avenue at the Bridge Street Interchange to I-95 south remains closed until Friday, November 21, for ramp construction.

    Motorists will be directed to exit to Aramingo Avenue at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange, turn right onto Aramingo Avenue, turn right onto Adams Avenue, and turn right onto the ramp to I-95 South.

    Motorists are advised to use alternate routes or allow extra time when traveling near or through the work areas because significant backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
