King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that base repair operations are planned on two state highways in Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Tuesday, September 16, through Thursday, September 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 663 (Charlotte Street) will be closed and detoured weekdays between Mervine Street and Route 73 (Big Road) in Upper Pottsgrove, New Hanover, and Douglass townships. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Mervine Street, Hanover Street, Maugers Mill Road, Gilbertsville Road, and Route 73 (Big Road).
- Monday, September 29, through Friday, September 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Whitehall Road will be closed and detoured between Main Street and Germantown Pike in East Norriton and West Norriton townships. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Main Street, Burnside Avenue, and Germantown Pike.
Local access will be maintained during both closures. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
