Work to Begin on Replacement Bridge over Little Mehoopany Creek in Wyoming County

Dunmore, PA – Construction of a temporary by-pass road for a bridge replacement project on Route 4002 over Little Mehoopany Creek, in Mehoopany Township, Wyoming County will begin on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. The temporary by-pass, which should be complete by early June 2026, will allow for the construction of a new bridge to replace the existing bridge. The bridge project is anticipated to be completed by October 2026.

When encountering a work zone, please drive the posted speed limit, turn on your headlights, pay close attention to signs and flaggers, and avoid all distractions. In high-traffic locations, motorists are encouraged to use both lanes of travel to the merge point and take turns merging into the open lane.
