    Lane Restrictions on Interstate 81 Northbound and Southbound in Luzerne County

    Dunmore, PA – There will be lane restrictions on Interstate 81 northbound and southbound in Luzerne County on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, and Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM as geologists survey the terrain and ground composition along the interstate. Work will be done on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, northbound between Wilkes-Barre/Route 309 (Exit 165B) and Highland Park Boulevard (Exit 168), and on Thursday, June 25, 2026, southbound between Nanticoke/South Valley Expressway (Exit 164) and Highland Park Boulevard (Exit 168). While work will not be done on the interstate, drivers should be vigilant for vehicles parked along the shoulder.
