Culvert Replacement Project to Begin on Butternut Flats Road (Route 1007) in Honesdale, Wayne County

Dunmore, PA – PennDOT will be closing Butternut Flats Road (Route 1007) in Honesdale starting Monday, August 10, 2026, through the end of summer 2026 for a culvert replacement project. The detour can be found below:

From Route 1007 from the west

  • Turn left onto Route 1005
  • Turn right onto Route 1002
  • Turn right onto Eighmy Road
  • Turn left onto Route 1007

From Route 2023 from the east

  • Turn right onto Eighmy Road
  • Turn left onto Route 1002
  • Turn left onto Route 1005
  • Turn right onto Fox Hill Road (Route 1007)

When encountering a work zone, please drive the posted speed limit, turn on your headlights, pay close attention to signs and flaggers, and avoid all distractions. In high-traffic locations, motorists are encouraged to use both lanes of travel to the merge point.
