Dunmore, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has lifted the speed limit restriction and the requirement for commercial vehicles to remain in the right lane that have been in place on Interstates 80, 81, and 84 in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Pike, Susquehanna, and Wayne counties. Reduced speed limit restrictions and the right-lane-only for commercial vehicles remain in effect on the entire length of Interstate 84 due to current weather conditions.
Due to the winter storm impacting the region, speed limits were reduced earlier this afternoon to 45 mph on all interstates in the region.
PennDOT is still treating roadways in the area and will continue until roads are clear.
