Bridge Closure Route 6006 in Lackawanna County

Dunmore, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will be closing the bridge that carries Route 6006 (Scranton/Carbondale Highway) over Route 107 (Heart Lake Road/Rushbrook Street) in Mayfield Borough, Lackawanna County.

The bridge will be closed in order to evaluate the existing bridge connections without traffic loadings. The bridge on Route 6006 (Scranton/Carbondale Highway) will be closed to traffic for 10-minute increments on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, and Wednesday, November 12, 2025, between the hours of 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.  A single lane of traffic will be maintained on Route 107 during this work.

Work is weather dependent, and motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid delays.
