Bridge Preservation Project Continues on Old Lycoming Road in Lycoming County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that the bridge preservation project on Route 1017 (Lycoming Creek Road) over the Lycoming Creek in Old Lycoming, Loyalsock, and Lycoming townships, Lycoming County, continues next week.

Beginning Monday, October 23, 2023, the contractor will begin concrete repairs on the structure carrying Lycoming Creek Road over the Lycoming Creek near the intersection with Route 973. Motorists can expect changing traffic patterns controlled by 24-hour flagging. Work on this phase is expected to be completed within two weeks.

HRI, Inc. is the prime contractor for this $1.3 million bridge preservation project. Work includes concrete repair, pavement resurface, epoxy overlay, and line painting. Work is expected to be completed in October of 2023, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the work zone.
