Montoursville, PA – A traffic signal upgrade is planned to take place between Wednesday, April 22 and Wednesday, April 29 at the intersection of Routes 11/15 and Eleventh Avenue in Shamokin Dam, Snyder County. The contractor, C.M. High, Inc., will be installing the new traffic signal, which is part of the highway occupancy permit for the Royal Farms being constructed at this location.
Traffic Impacts
Wednesday, April 22
- The new vertical uprights will be installed. Work will be performed in the shoulder area. There will be minimal impact to traffic during this process.
Thursday, Aprill 23
- Between the hours of 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM, the horizontal mast arms will be installed over Routes 11/15. Drivers can expect alternating lane restrictions.
- Daylight hours, the horizontal mast arms will be installed over Eleventh Avenue. Drivers can expect single lane conditions with flagging where work is being performed.
Friday, April 24 and Monday, April 27
- Work will be performed on the mast arms in preparation for future activation.
- Work will be performed in the shoulder areas of the intersection and the middle (turn) lane on Routes 11/15.
- Drivers can expect the middle (turn) lane to be restricted on Routes 11/15 between Tenth Street and Monroe Street during daylight hours.
Tuesday, April 28 and Wednesday, April 29
- Remaining work will be performed on the new signals, which will be covered until the existing signals are deactivated and removed.
- The existing traffic signals and corresponding support systems will be deactivated, removed, and the new traffic signals will be activated.
