1:45 PM UPDATE: Route 44 and Whitmoyer Road are open in Northumberland County.
Montoursville, PA – Drivers are advised that Route 44 is closed between Rovendale Drive (Route 1006) and Susquehanna Trail (Route 1007) and Whitmoyer Road is closed between Route 44 and Rovenolt Drive in Lewis Township, Northumberland County, for fire department activity.
The following detours are in place.
- Route 44 traffic should use Route 44 and Route 54.
- Whitmoyer Road traffic should use Rovenolt Drive, Route 44, and Route 54.
The roadways are expected to be closed for several hours. Drivers should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
