Montoursville, PA – Drivers are advised that a roadway resurfacing project continues next week with night work on Route 405 in Point township, Northumberland County near Northumberland Borough.
On Monday, April 6, the contractor, New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co. and a sub-contractor will begin paving work on Route 405 from Eighth Street to approximately 0.13 miles north of Sports Zone Drive. The contractor will begin milling the existing roadway with resurfacing to take place later in the week, weather permitting.
Drivers can expect a single lane with flagging where work is being performed. Work will be performed Sundays through Thursdays, between the hours of 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co, Inc. is the prime contractor for this $2.8 million roadway resurfacing and drainage improvement project. Work includes milling and resurfacing of 3.5 miles of Route 405 between Eighth Street and Ferry Road in Point Township, storm water drainage improvements, guide rail upgrades, line painting, and sign replacement. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in June 2026.
