Maintenance Project on Furnace Road Next Week in East Buffalo Township, Union County

Montoursville, PA – Drivers are advised a maintenance project will begin next week on Furnace Road (Route 2004) in East Buffalo Township, Union County.

Beginning Monday, May 11, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) crew will be patching, milling intersection tie-ins and paving Furnace Road between Old Schoolhouse Road and the crossover between Route 15 north and southbound lanes.

Work will take place between the hours of 6:00 AM and 5:30 PM, weather pending. Drivers can primarily expect lane restrictions on Furnace Road, with brief periods of closure on Route 15 during the milling and paving operations at the intersection with Furnace Road.

This maintenance project is expected to be complete on Tuesday, May 19.
