Litter Pickup Next Week Along Certain Routes in Columbia County

Montoursville, PA – In an effort to improve our environment and clean up our local roadways, PennDOT maintenance crews in Columbia County will pick up litter next week along the following roadways:

  • Interstate 80 between the Montour County and Luzerne County lines.
  • Route 11 – Lime Ridge interchange area.
  • Route 42 – Buckhorn interchange area.

Crews will be picking up litter along the above routes beginning Monday, March 16, 2026, to Friday, March 20, 2026, during daylight hours, weather permitting.

There will be no impacts to traffic during litter cleanup activities. Drivers are reminded to slow down, drive with caution, be alert for stopped or slow-moving vehicles, and watch for workers near the roadway.
