Montoursville, PA – Drivers who travel Route 15 northbound are advised of a line painting project planned next week in the turn lane located approximately 1.7 miles north of the intersection with Route 54 in Armstrong Township, Lycoming County. This portion of Route 15 is commonly known as Montgomery Pike.
Between Tuesday, June 23 and Friday, June 26, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew will be painting new turn arrow lines, installing raised rumble strips in the northbound left turn lane, delineation, and a new Left Lane Must Turn Left sign. Temporary message boards will be placed advising traffic of the updates.
There will be no impact on Route 15 northbound through traffic. The Route 15 northbound entrance to the PennDOT Montgomery Pike Stockpile or Williamsport Electric will be restricted. A detour using Route 15 northbound to the turnaround and Route 15 southbound will be in place.
