Bridge Replacement Project on Drake Road Begins Next Week in Cherry Township, Sullivan County

Montoursville, PA – Drivers are advised that a bridge replacement project will begin next week on Drake Road in Cherry Township, Sullivan County. The state-owned bridge is located on a portion of the township owned Drake Road (T-505).

Beginning Monday April 13, 2026, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew will replace the bridge over a tributary to Lick Run. Work on the project includes replacement of the existing structure, paving, line painting, and guide rail installation.

Drake Road will be closed between Harney Road and Sayman Road. A detour using Churchill Street (Route 4021) and Overton Road (Route 4018) will be in place for the duration of the project.

The bridge replacement project is anticipated to be completed in August 2026, weather pending.
