Bridge Replacement Project Begins This Week on Evansville Road in Briar Creek Township, Columbia County

Montoursville, PA – Drivers are advised that a bridge replacement project will close a portion of Evansville Road (Route 1014) in Briar Creek Township, Columbia County.

Starting on Thursday, June 4, Evansville Road will be closed between Cemetery Road (Route 1019) and Lake Road (Route 1017), while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) bridge crew begins removal of the existing bridge. Additional work on the project includes installation of a new box culvert, paving, and line painting.  

A detour using Cemetery Road, Frease Avenue, Route 93, and Lake Road will be in place for the duration of the project.
