Montoursville, PA – Drivers are advised a bridge replacement project will begin next week on Overton Road (Route 3002) in New Albany Borough, Bradford County. The bridge carries Overton Road over Ladds Creek.
Beginning Monday, April 6, the contractor, Nestlerode, will be performing construction activities including demolition of a barn structure, removal of guiderail, and placement of construction equipment entrances on Overton Road from approximately 0.1 mile west of Route 220 to approximately 2.1 miles southeast of Hatch Hill Road (Route 3004).
When necessary, flaggers will be controlling traffic with single lane conditions. Work will take place during daylight hours. Drivers should obey signs and flaggers and drive with caution through the work zone.
A bridge closure will occur in approximately one month. Detour information will be provided on future updates.
Nestlerode Construction is the prime contractor for this $1,120,000 bridge replacement project, Work includes mill and resurfacing, structure replacement, drainage, guiderail, line painting, signing, and other miscellaneous construction. This bridge replacement project is expected to be completed in fall of 2026, weather permitting.
