    Bridge Rehabilitation and Road Widening Project Begins Next Week on Main Street and Canoe Camp Creek Road in Richmond Township, Tioga County

    Montoursville, PA – Drivers are advised a bridge rehabilitation and road widening project will begin next week on Main Street (Route 2005) between the Route 6/15 intersection and Spencer Road in Richmond Township, Tioga County.

    On Monday, April 6, the contractor, Glenn O. Hawbaker, will begin rehabilitation work on the bridge that carries Main Street over Canoe Camp Creek Road (Route 2027). Work on this project also includes installation of a two-way left turn lane on Main Street and sheet installation on Canoe Camp Creek Road.

    Traffic Impacts

    • Two lanes of traffic will be maintained during daylight hours.
    • An 11-foot lane restriction will be in place for the duration of the project.
    • Any lane restrictions needed will be intermittent and will only occur between the hours of 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM, under flagging.

    Drivers are urged to drive with caution in the area and to obey signs and flaggers.

    Glenn O. Hawbaker is the prime contractor on this $6.200,000 project. Additional work includes extending a box culvert on Main Street over the Tioga River, milling and paving work, curb placement, guiderail upgrades, drainage work, base repair, and other miscellaneous construction work. This project is expected to be completed in November 2026.
