ADA Curb Ramp and Sidewalk Work Begins Monday in Danville Borough, Montour

Montoursville, PA – Construction of ADA ramps and sidewalks will begin next week as part of a road resurfacing project in Danville Borough and Mahoning Township, Montour County.

Starting on Monday, June 8, the contractor, New Enterprise Stone and Lime, Inc., will begin constructing ADA curb ramps and sidewalks on Walnut Street (Route 11) at Beaver Place and on Bloom Street (Route 2010) between Walnut and Cherry Streets. This work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Sidewalks will be closed to pedestrians in this area.  Impacts on traffic will be minimal during this time. 

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co, Inc. is the prime contractor for this $1.7 million road resurfacing project. Work includes milling and resurfacing of 1.2 miles of Walnut Street (Route 11) between Route 11 and State Hospital Drive in Danville Borough, 0.4 mile of Bloom Street (Route 2010) between Walnut and Cherry Streets, installation of ADA compliant sidewalk ramps, pavement markings, and sign replacement. Additional work includes storm water drainage improvements on Kaseville Road (Route 2005) in Mahoning Township. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in September 2026, weather permitting.
