PROJET UPDATE: Roadway Repair Project Continues on Shumway Hill Road in Charleston Township, Tioga County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that daily closures will continue on Shumway Hill Road (Route 3011) in Charleston Township, Tioga County, for a roadway repair project.

Staring on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, Shumway Hill Road will be closed daily between Roundtop Road and Route 6, while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) paving crew begins paving.

A detour using Route 6 and Roundtop Road will be in place during daylight hours.

When paving operations are performed between the Tioga County Prison and Route 6, motorists can expect alternating lane restrictions with flagging. An updated press release will be provided as work progresses. Property owners, employees, and patrons will have access to driveways.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
