Tree Trimming Begins Monday on Route 405 in Point Township, Northumberland County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that preparations will begin next week for a roadway resurfacing and drainage improvement project Route 405 in Point Township, Northumberland County.

Between Monday, October 27, 2025, and Friday, October 31, 2025, the contractor will begin tree trimming between Eighth Street and Ferry Road. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained where work is being performed. Tree trimming will be performed between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co, Inc. is the prime contractor for this $2.8 million roadway resurfacing and drainage improvement project. Work includes milling and resurfacing of 3.5 miles of Route 405 between Eighth Street and Ferry Road in Point Township, storm water drainage improvements, guide rail upgrades, line painting, and sign replacement. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in June 2026.
