Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a seal coat project is planned next week on Smalsh Barrick Road (Route 1009) in Middlecreek and Jackson townships, Snyder County.
On Monday, August 25, 2025, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew will be applying seal coat to Smalsh Barrick Road between Route 522 in Middlecreek Township and New Berlin Highway (Route 1005) in Jackson Township. Motorists can expect single lane conditions with flagging between the hours of 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM. This project is anticipated to be completed in one day.
Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the work zone.
