Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a roadway improvement project begins this week on Bloss Mountain Road (Route 2005) and Boone Run Road (Route 2026) in Blossburg Borough and Covington Township, Tioga County.
Starting on Thursday, August 14, 2025, the contractor, HRI, Inc., will begin base repairs on Bloss Mountain Road and continue west towards the Route 15 interchange. Motorists can expect single lane conditions with flagging where work is being performed. Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
HRI, Inc., is the prime contractor for this $1 million roadway improvement project on Bloss Mountain Road and Boone Run Road. Work includes base repairs, milling of the existing roadway, resurfacing, placement of epoxy overlay on the bridge over Boone Run, guide rail installation, and line painting. This project is anticipated to be completed in the fall 2025, weather permitting.
