Resurfacing Project Continues on Route 405 in Northumberland and Lycoming Counties

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that the roadway resurfacing project continues next week on Route 405 in Delaware Township in Northumberland County and Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County.

Starting on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, the contractor, Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc., will mill and repave Route 405 between Route 44 in Delaware Township, Northumberland County and Route 54 in Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County. Motorists can expect single lane conditions where work is being performed. Work will be performed Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, weather permitting.

Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. is the prime contractor for this $3.2 million resurfacing project. Work includes the mill and resurface of Route 405 between Route 44 in Delaware Township, Northumberland County and Route 54 in Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County. Additional work in the project includes an application of an epoxy overlay, guiderail upgrades, and embankment repair, of the existing bridge that carries Route 405 over the railroad tracks, and embankment repairs near the existing bridge that carries Route 405 over Delaware Run. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in September 2025.
