Pipe Replacement Project Next Week on Shores Road in Sheshequin and Rome Townships, Bradford County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a pipe replacement project will begin next week on Shores Road (Route 1020) in Sheshequin and Rome townships, Bradford County.

Between Tuesday, October 7, 2025 and Friday, October 10, 2025, Shores Road will be closed between Ghent Hill Road (Route 1022) and Lake Road (Route 1029), while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew replaces deteriorating pipes.

  • A detour using Ghent Hill Road and Lake  Road will be in place through Friday, October 10.

Between Monday, October 13, 2025 and Friday, October 17, 2025, Shores Road will be closed daily between Ghent Hill Road and Lake Road while a PennDOT completes the pipe replacements.

  • A detour using Ghent Hill Road and Lake Road will be in place between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
