Gas Main Replacement Begins Tomorrow on Broadway Street in Milton Borough, Northumberland County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a gas main replacement project will begin tomorrow on Broadway Street (Route 254) in Milton Borough, Northumberland County.

Starting on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, a contractor for UGI Utilities, will begin work to replace a gas main on Broadway Street between Turbot Avenue and Queen Street. Motorists can expect single lane conditions with flagging where work is being performed. Work will be performed Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, weather permitting.

There will be a 10 – foot width restriction  in place while work is being performed.

The following side streets will be impacted by the project: Turbot Avenue, Stanton Avenue, Prospect Avenue, Cedar Street, Hottenstein Lane, Brown Avenue, Poplar Avenue, and Queen Street. 

This gas main replacement project is anticipated to be completed by October 2025. Final paving will be completed at a later date. Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the work zone.
