Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a flood damage repair project continues on Route 220 in Davidson Township, Sullivan County.
Between Monday, December 8, 2025 and Thursday, December 11, 2025, Main Street (Route 2002) will be closed between Route 220 and Michelle Road while the contractor, Mitchell Knorr Contracting, Inc. replaces damaged pipes. A detour using Route 220 and Michelle Road will be in place through the afternoon of December 11, weather permitting.
Mitchell Knorr Contracting, Inc., is the prime contractor for this $2.6 million flood damage repair project. Work on this project includes restoration of slopes and ditches, pipe removal and replacement, pipe cleaning, shoulder reconstruction, removal and installation of four temporary access roads, roadway reconstruction on Main Street (T-300), and mill and paving of Old Route 220 (T-306). Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in the late fall 2026, weather permitting. There will be a winter shut down in mid-December 2025 with construction resuming in the spring 2026.
