Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a drainage improvement project continues with work moving to Route 15 southbound in Jackson Township, Lycoming County. Work on Route 15 northbound in Cogan House Township has been completed.
Starting the week of Monday, October 20, 2025, the contractor, Mitchell Knorr Contracting, will begin work in the southbound shoulder located 2 miles south of the Route 414 interchange (Exit 162 / Liberty). Work on this project includes the removal of pipes and placement of rock slopes to improve drainage. Motorists can expect the shoulder to be closed in the southbound driving lane during daylight hours.
Mitchell Knorr Contracting, is the prime contractor for this $84,000 drainage improvement project on Route 15 northbound in Cogan House and Jackson townships, Lycoming County. Work on the project includes excavation, slope pipe removal, and rock placement to improve drainage. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in November 2025, weather permitting.
