Bridge Preservation Project is Complete in Lycoming County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised the bridge preservation project is complete in Lycoming County. This project included preservation work such as bridge deck repair, the application of a waterproof membrane, paving, and line painting on 12 state-owned bridges throughout the county.

On Friday, September 12, work will be completed on the bridge that carries Route 44 over Pine Creek. The temporary traffic signals have been removed and lane restriction is lifted. Both lanes are open.

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., is the prime contractor for this $1.6 million bridge preservation project. Bridges worked on include Route 44 over Pine Creek in Cummings Township, Route 414 over Cedar Run in Brown Township, Route 284 over Blockhouse Creek in Pine Township, Route 2011 (Exchange Road) over Laurel Run in Moreland Township, Route 2015 (Funston Road) over Little Muncy Creek in Franklin Township, Route 2028 (Quaker State Road) over East Mill Creek in Fairfield Township, Route 2031 (Lick Run Road / Palmer Hill Road) over Mill Creek in Loyalsock Township, Route 2077 (Beaver Run Road) Little Muncy Creek in Franklin Township, Route 3004 (Jacks Hollow Road) over Mosquito Creek in Armstrong Township, Route 3013 (Quenshukeny Road) over Quenshukeny Creek in Woodward Township, Route 3018 (First Fork Road) over First Fork in Mifflin Township, and Route 4007 (Covered Bridge Road) over Blockhouse Creek in Jackson Township. Work on this project was completed in September 2025.
